The Indego Therapy+™ Software Suite has been specifically developed to offer meaningful gait training for patients with stroke. Therapy+ allows therapists to provide safe, intense, individualized and goal oriented gait training sessions thanks to Indego’s sophisticated control strategies.
This patient centric approach requires patients to initiate the movement and to control their speed, stride length, and step height with as much or as little Indego assistance as needed. This encourages patients to be as actively engaged as possible.
Additionally, auditory signals provide real-time feedback to the patient and therapist to facilitate improved gait symmetry and mechanics.
"The non-trajectory based approach of Indego’s Therapy+ software offers a unique opportunity for gait training which hasn’t previously been available in exoskeletons."
— Candy Tefertiller, DPT, PT, Therapy Director at Craig Hospital, Englewood, CO, USA
Allows therapists to reduce the weight of the patient's leg, allowing patients with partial impairment to move their limb more effectively during the gait cycle. Gravity-supported gait therapy helps to facilitate walking with a more physiological gait pattern.
Indego is the only exoskeleton which offers "non-trajectory" based gait training. Adjustable motor
assistance at the patient’s hip and knee during swing phase of gait allows therapists to assist based on the patient's needs.
Therapists can offer a highly individualized gait training program for each patient. Adjustable motor assistance at the patient's knee during the stance phase of gait allows therapists to reduce the risk of buckling, knee hyperextension, and/or loss of balance while walking.
Indego allows therapists to define and set goals for patients' stride length in order to improve step symmetry. This auditory feedback provides patients real-time feedback on their performance, giving them the opportunity to correct and improve their walking pattern with each step.
The Indego dashboard provides real-time information about the training session. It provides and overview about the most critical and important parameters like number of steps, level of support and gait quality.
