Parker's FF400-80 offers best in class low temperature performance for an FFKM , with sealing capability down to -40°F. The FF400 resolves low temperature concerns for FFKM compounds while giving excellent chemical resistance to Sour Gas and Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD) resistance per ISO23936-2.
Parker's FF582-90 provides best in class hot water/steam resistance along with extrusion and Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD) resistance. FF582 also has been tested via industry standards for Sour Gas and RGD per ISO23936-2.
Parker’s VG109-90 meets the high pressure/high temperature and high pressure/low temperature sealing needs of the Oil and Gas market. With a recommended operating temperature range of -50°F to 400°F, VG109-90 is the perfect solution for sealing elements requiring a cyclic temperature and pressure test for approval.
In many Oil and Gas applications, elastomeric sealing components have difficulties of passing an API PR2 test due to this cycling. After being exposed to high temperature and pressures the material can take a compression set which can cause leakage issues at lower temperatures and pressures. Alternatively, if the material isn't able to maintain resilience at low temperatures and high pressures it can also result in a failed test. The VG109-90 offers the perfect combination of high and low temperature performance which is required to pass these testing demands.
The VG109-90 also offers great resistance to Sour Service and Rapid Gas Decompression (RGD) conditions that are becoming commonplace in the oilfield. The VG109-90 has been tested to and approved to many of the Oil and Gas industry standards for both Sour Service and RGD.
Parker Prädifa´s high-performance Perfluoro O-rings are suitable for extreme chemical and thermal requirements and approved according to the industry´s standards (RGD, sour service). For applications that make special demands in terms of sealing action and reliability, Parker developed a chevron packing set with incorporates its proven FlexiSeal® design technology and PTFE-based materials as well as other high performance polymer plastics. A typical PTFE chevron stack consists of a radial FlexiSeal, followed by several V-rings and an anti-extrusion ring. Advantages over conventional elastomer-based chevron stacks includes pressure- and wear-resistant PTFE, no special tooling requirements, quick design and short manufacturing times and the simplified design eliminates the need for a mechanical loading mechanism.
